Last Regrets Vol. 1
“Last Regrets” is a variety show that is entirely the conception of Brandon Mishawn, executed with the help of co-organizer, H Carter, meant as a contemplation of mortality through a celebration of life.
*Last Regrets Vol. 2 is in the works for Fall 2024
What is hopefully the first of several editions of this event occurred 2-22-24 and featured a rendition of “Danse Macabre” by Tracy Woodard of the Atlanta Contemporary Ensemble, poetry by Ruca Rose, Bria Howard, H Carter and Jay Morrison and a performance by the Atlanta Improvisers Orchestra.

The night culminated with an interactive art performance by Brandon Mishawn, featuring poetry reading with audience participation, the selection of members of the audience who didn’t, “make a deal with their devil,” and the ‘live burial’ of Brandon Mishawn and a random member of the audience.

Working with graphic artist, Scotty Poston, to create a poster intended to draw eyes in physical and digital spaces based around the concept of a Victorian era handbill meeting a tarot card. This is how the often complemented poster art for Brandon Mishawn’s, “Last Regrets”, found it’s life - from screen grab to final product.

Brandon Mishawn’s collection of poetry and photography, Reaping, is currently unavailable for purchase. Distribution is planned for “Last Regrets Vol. 2” in Fall 2024
